"Ha-ha," said Eeyore bitterly. "Merriment and what-not. Don't apologize. It's just what would happen."'
QUESTION: This sentence is the end of Chapter Three of The House at Pooh Corner. In this chapter, everyone in the Forest had searched for Small, one of Rabbit's friends and relations, and he was found. But only Eeyore didn't know and had been looking for it until he happened to meet Rabbit. And he said that sentence.
I don't understand "It's just what would happen". Did he expect it happens that only he would be not informed? Or, does he feel "it would happen all the time" because he always thinks negatively such as to be left out?
It's just what would happen"(それはただ起こるだろう)が、"He expected it happens that only he would be not informed."((前もって)自分だけが知らされないことがあるかもと思っていた)かということです。>

"Ha-ha," said Eeyore bitterly. "Merriment and what-not. Don't apologize. It's just what would happen."
This portion is at the end of Chapter Three in The House at Pooh Corner. Throughout this chapter, everyone in the Forest had been searching for Small, one of Rabbit's friends and relatives. Fortunately, he was found after all. However, only Eeyore didn't know of the result and had still been looking for Small until he happened to come across Rabbit. It is in this scene that I had the question I am asking of you, Mr. Kimura.
What I don't understand is the sentence "It's just what would happen." Does it imply that Eeyore was the only person not informed of the result? Or, did he feel that it happened all the time because he thinks he was always left out of the community?
